His Holiness Pope Francis will visit Ireland on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th August.

Various events will take place including World Meeting of Families events at the RDS on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Croke Park Dublin on the Saturday and Knock and the celebratory Mass on the Sunday in Croke Park, Dublin.

It is strongly recommend anyone travelling to Dublin by cross border coach on the Saturday and Sunday to book a ticket online in advance, using the links below.

Coach services will operate over the weekend.

TRAVEL DETAILS AND ITINERARY

Coaches depart from:

 

BELFAST 8am - Front door of Jurys Hotel, Great Victoria Street, Belfast

LISBURN 8.20am - Sprucefield M&S Bus Stop @ Roundabout

BANBRIDGE 8.40am - Bus Stop Opp Home Bargains in Outlet Park

NEWRY 9am - Fiveways Roundabout, Bus Stop layby at Side of Fiveways Shop

 

11am approx arrive in Dublin, dependant on traffic conditions, expect long delays in Dublin to drop off point. This will be determinted by Gardai on the day.

 

Return from event time will be 8pm from coach park

 

Price is for Coach travel only & does not include entry to event. Coach Drop off is at the coach park nand will be advised on the day as this is a  large event, expect some walking. Call for details. Some Coaches may have toilet facilites, however there will be exceptions. Comfort breaks are provided enroute. Tickets must be purchased online or over the phone, if you turn up without a ticket you may be refused entry.

Prepare for your journey

 

Allow yourself plenty of time to reach the venue. While there will be walking involved, there will be rest areas along the route for your comfort. Some walking is unavoidable due to the size, scale and location of this event. All tickets will be for standing sections, however you are permitted to bring your own small folding chair. Further details on what you are permitted to bring will be updated closer to the Final Mass date and will be found here: www.worldmeeting2018.ie

Plan your Transport

 

Decide how you will travel to Croke Park / Phoenix Park well in advance. You are strongly advised to walk, take public or group transport (coach) to this event.

Public transport and coaches will be given priority and will bring you closest to Phoenix Park.

It will not be possible to drive up to or near to Croke Park / Phoenix Park by car.
